Its not known exactly when the obelisk was sent to Istanbul, but carrying it from the Kadirga Port  to its current place has taken three days, and having it erected here has taken 32 days.  In 390 Byzantine Emperor Theoodosius had it erected at the Hippodrome,. The Embbossings on the groundwork included Theodosius I, his sons, his wife, Arkedios, Honorios, and the Emperor Valantinianos II.

Furthermore , There are descriptions showing Hippodrome stages and the erection of the monument, There are several stories, in thhe rel;ation the the Obbelisk, the Noon sun comes from directly, at the top point of the obelisk and in afternoons, the sun lights go down with a miraculous angle and when looked carefully, one can see that the lights draw a pyramid Picture that also encompasses the Obelisk itself.
