Itinerary

Day 1ARRIVAL – ISTANBUL

Arrival to Istanbul welcoming in airport with Tour Turkey staff.  Proceed to hotel for refresh.

Day 2ISTANBUL

After breakfast city tour in Istanbul, Vist Roman Hippodrome Square where you can see  three colomn from Roman period known as Egyptian Obelisk, Serpent Column and Constantine Obelisk.

You will start to tour with Roman Hippodrome Square, then visit  Blue Mosque, that a masterpiece, where Sedefkar Mehmed Aga demonstrated his architectural talent upon, the request of the Ottoman Sultan Ahmed I, was built 1609-1616.

After Blue Mosque visit Hagia Sophia which is one of most impressive and most historical structure in Istanbul from Roman Period as designed a church at the beginning has inspired the many beautiful mosques of the city for centuries following the conquest of the city.

Visit Topkapı Palace which is imperial residence and administration Office of Ottoman Empire between 15- 19 centuries.

Another atrraction is Underground Cistern was fist built by the Byzantine Emperor Justinian in the 6th century, in order to supply the water needs of Constantinople.

Day 3ISTANBUL - ÇANAKKALE

After breakfast drive to Çanakkale  to visit Gallipoli Battlefield. Gallipoli is a region including First World War battlefields which has considerable memories for Anzac and Turkish nation. It is in the middle of natural beauties surrounded with forestland and clean water of Aegean Sea.

Gallipoli is a peninsula where Anzacs made an amphibious landing in April 1915 followed by a ground war for months . It is a very important region for the history of the world.

When you visit this region, you will remember the tragedy in 1915 and see the battlefields which is final resting place of more than half million warriors who died or lost in the Gallipoli Campaign.

Day 4ÇANAKKALE – KUŞADASI

Troy is the place where the famous Trojan War happened. Troy is one of the UNESCO world heritage- listed archeological sites in Turkey. Troy where the fight happened between Hector and Achilleus, is the setting of the Trojan War decribed in İlliad by famous poet HOMEROS. The ancient ruins which was explored first by German Heinrich Schliemann in 1870’s, will take you to the ancient ages.

Pergamon, one of the most glorious capital cities of ancient ages, is believed to be established in 4. Century BC. Visitors may climb up the Acropolis with a 15-minute cable car trip. The city was the most important cultural center of its time with Pergamon Altar which is believed one of the seven wonders of world, and famous library which is full of works written on parchment .You will also visit the Asklepion of Pergamon which was the health center of its time and was the home of ancient physician.Pergamon is cited in the Book of Revelation as one of the seven churches of Asia in Christianity.

Day 5KUŞADASI - EPHESUS

It is situated between Artemis Temple and Saint Jean Church. It was ordered by Aydınoğlu İsa Bey. It has an important place in Turkish art history. This mosque is one of oldest and most elaborate works of Anatolian Beyliks period in Turkish Architecture. It was also used as caravansary in 19 th Century.

Ephesus was founded by Lysimakhos one of the successor of Alexander the Great in 300’S BC. Ephesus, living most glorious time in Hellenistic and Roman Period, had 200.000 population as the biggest harbour city and capital city of Asia Province. Ephesus played a crucial role in the fields of civilization, science, culture and art through its history since from 4000 BC.The ancient ruins in four region -Ephesus, Ayasuluk Hill, Artemision and Selçuk- are visited by nearly three million tourists each year. As the first marble-made city Ephesus’ important buildings are Celcius Library, Agora, Terrace Houses and Ephesus Theatre with 25.000 visitors capacity.

One of the Seven Wonders of the World, Artemis Temple is the first marble-made temple of the ancient world. Its history goes back to 7. Century BC. Temple was dedicated to Ancient Goddess Artemis and constructed using bronze sculptures of famous sculptors Pheidias, Polycleitus, Kresilas ve Phradmon under the Cretan architect Chersiphron  at the expense of Croesus of Lydia.

The house of Virgin Mary which is situated on forest area on Bülbül Mountain, is a cruciform-planned shack. Jesus entrusted his mother to St. John. St. John brought her to Ephesus which is a glorious city of that time. He provided this house to accomadate her instead of staying in the city center which was insecure to her. The house was discovered in the 19th century by following the descriptions in the reported visions of , a nun and visionary. Today It is an important destinaton for Christianity.

Day 6PAMUKKALE

With the unique scenery and historical traces, Pamukkale is one of the most popular destinations of Turkey. Theraupetic thermal water of Pamukkale and travertens present a visual feast to visitors.

With the 35 degrees water both in the summer and winter, thermal pool in Pamukkale allows tourists to have moments of pleasure. In addition to this, Its UNESCO World Heritagelisted site Hierapolis, It was a cultural and religious center. It has a great potential on religious tourism because St Philip had been killed here and his tomb was made here in behalf of him. Within a few kilometers to Pamukkale, Leodikia anthic city where one of the seven churches in Christianity have been placed, creates a historical and religious atmosphere.

Day 7KONYA

Konya which was a capital city for Turks for 221 years as a center of a culture, civilization and science with its museum-city apperance. Konya presents a mystical and traditional culture to the visitors. It pull the visitors into a different culture with ıts mosques, madrasahs, islamic-ottoman social complexs and museums. Konya in Seljuk Period before Ottomans was one of the most important cities in Medieval Age.

While you travel in Konya, the first destination is Mevlana Museum. Most important representative of these science centers was Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi. Mevlana was born in Belh in 1207 as the son of Bahaeddin Veled (Sultan of the Scholars). In his period Konya became a hearth of science and wisdom. Sometimes Even Sultans and viziers were participating in his courses. When he died in Konya in 1273, A flock of people from every religion and doctrines wept over him. Today, Mevleviyeh which is the most important sufi teaching is known by millions of people.

Day 8CAPPADOCIA

Most popular destinaton after İstanbul, Cappadocia offers natural beauties along with its historical past. It has been most interesting area with natural beauties which were formed as a result of volcanic eruptions thousands years ago.

Cappadocia presents most extraordinary travel experience with ıts underground cities dating from Roman Period, Cave churches of early christian era and and nature with different beauties in every season. Undoubtedly, Most important activity in the region is hot air baloon. Watching sunset in the air and passing through valleys , you will feel as if you are in a dream.

Day 9CAPPADOCIA

In authentic rock-carved restaurants, You may taste traditional and famous earthenware pot kebap.While you watch the process of shaping the clay of pottery masters, you will see the continuation of a Hittite tradition for thousands of years. If you have enough time trekking on volcanic walleys is best for you.It would be unforgettable moment to watch the magical Cappadocian view in our authentic and rock-caved hotel room, instead of comfort in classic hotels

Day 10
